OUR PASTORS

Dr. Thomas E. Carr is the Senior Pastor of Redeemer's Tabernacle of Praise, a Bible-believing and five-fold ministry nondenominational church, located in the port city of Wilmington, North Carolina. He and his wife Prophetess Dr. Gwendolyn Carr founded the church and have served as the pastors since it was formally established in 2019. Prior to that they served as Elders for several years and briefly as pastors of The Lord's Church of Wilmington until the building was sold. The Carrs were ordained to the office of Pastor in 2018. This recognition came about following many years of Christian service, in various capacities, after which they committed themselves to formal studies in Theology and graduated with doctoral degrees in Pastoral Counseling from True Standard Christian Theological Seminary. As for spiritual growth and development, the Carrs give all of the glory to God and much credit to the ministry and teachings of Pastor Clarence Shavers (deceased), during their affiliation with Bethesda Christian Life Church, and to Pastor R. Bruce Miller while serving at The Lord's Church of Wilmington.

Besides preaching and teaching the Word of God, and proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Carrs also served several years as directors of Open Hands Food Bank, where the needs of many New Hanover County residents, including homeless individuals, were met. Both are former employees of General Electric and have contributed countless hours to outreach ministry and volunteer services throughout the city of Wilmington and beyond.

CHURCH SERVICES

Church at 302 Southern Blvd_1

* New Location

302 Southern Blvd., Wilmington, NC 28401

Redeemer's Tabernacle of Praise has moved. Services are no longer held at 1317 Corbett Street in the Love Grove community.  We have been invited to hold services at God's Royal Family Church of God, just west of Carolina Beach Road (across from Legion's Stadium and down from the 1504 Resto-Bar). As an independent church, Redeemer's will sometimes fellowship with and support other ministries of like precious faith. Currently, we have agreed to come along side of Apostle Gerald Williams and God's Royal Family church, to provide ministry and outreach assistance in their time of need. We apologize for any inconvenience our relocation or change in schedule may have caused.

Our Mission

With purpose and fervor we join the body of Christ in making disciples of people of all nations,

baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, according to Matthew 28:19.

 Our Vision

As disciples, we will follow all of God's commandments and offer sacrifices of joy and songs of praise in His tabernacle, having justification by the grace of God and forgiveness of sins through the redemptive blood of Jesus Christ.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

The doctrine of Redeemer's Tabernacle of Praise is established upon the following tenets of faith:  WE BELIEVE --

* In the triune Godhead--Father, His son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit
* The Old and New Testaments are God's divinely inspired words
* All have sinned and come short of the glory of God and are in need of salvation,
endeavoring to live a holy and sanctified life.

* One must be born of the Spirit and baptized into the Body of Christ
* In Speaking with other tongues as the Holy Spirit gives utterance
* In Water baptism by immersion
* In the bodily resurrection of the Church of Jesus Christ
* In the Second coming of Jesus Christ
* In the Virgin Birth, Death, Burial and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ
* Healing is available to every Believer in the redemptive work of Christ
* In the Sacraments of Holy Communion, Holy Matrimony between man and woman,
Baptism, Ordination, Foot washing, Dedication of children

* The tithe belongs to God.
